What roles do Latin American countries and East Asian investments play in the global production of minerals and energy? What particular phenomenon do we observe in comparison between Latin America and other regions such as Southeast Asia? How the energy transition does and will affect the roles of Latin America and East Asian investment?
These questions represent paramount issues and burgeoning cross-regional research agenda. They also echo growing attention from academia and practitioners to changing global political economy landscape in the recent past. To tackle these questions, we gather scholars from Latin America, Asia, and Europe. We believe the topic involves crucial benchmark issues, including the global energy transition, national and local issues surrounding resource extraction in Latin America, and the increasing involvement of East Asian countries.
The workshop is organized into two integrated sessions. Registration is required for each session. Please register through this form (https://forms.gle/8cRiU7oPeWn32M1K9) by the deadline: Wednesday, Nov 9, 2022.
