The JSPS Exchange Program for East Asian Young Researchers

The Graduate School of International Development (GSID), Nagoya University has been awarded a research grant from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) for its academic exchange program on “Building Research Capabilities of Young Scholars for Asian Development through the Academic Network for Development in Asia (ANDA)” (Coordinator: Prof. Aya Okada). This exchange program will grant a fellowship to a total of 16 young scholars from ANDA member universities in 8 Asian countries to undergo short-term training in Japan to build and enhance their research capabilities, and promote exchange activities with fellow young scholars from Japan and other Asian countries. For more details, please visit: http://www.jsps.go.jp/english/e-eayouth/index.html

Call for Papers for Student Sessions at the Second ANDA Int’l Seminar

Several graduate students (preferably doctoral students) from ANDA member universities will be awarded a travel grant and provided an opportunity to present their research work in progress. ANDA coordinators of participating universities may send their recommendations of suitable candidates to Prof. Aya Okada, GSID, Nagoya University by November 15, 2009.

The Second ANDA International Seminar

The Second ANDA International Seminar will be organized by the Graduate School of International Development (GSID) of Nagoya University, in cooperation with the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP), in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on January 8-10, 2010. The program will be posted soon.
